Taylor K.
Private tutor in Winston-Salem, NC
Education
I graduated in 2013 with a B.S. degree from The University of Michigan where I triple majored in actuarial mathematics, statistics, and economics. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.42. I am proud to be a Michigan Wolverine! Go Blue! Additionally in college, I served terms as both the treasurer and president of my Sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha.
Experience
Since college, I have pursued an actuarial career. Outside of work, I study for actuarial exams, and in 3 years I have been able to pass 6 of them. I recently became an Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS). These exams demand a strong foundation in mathematics (calculus and algebra especially), economics, and statistics, of which I have. My Math SAT score was a 780 out of 800. I took AP Statistics, Microeconomics, and Calculus BC and received a score of 5 on all exams. I love to teach others about subjects that I feel passionately about. When I am studying for my actuarial exams, I spend a lot of time making study guides and teaching the material to myself. I have assisted many of my colleagues with their studies, and I discovered I am a great tutor! I love working pupils of all ages, so all inquiries are welcome!
