I hold an MA in Management from the Wake Forest Graduate School of Business and a BA in Spanish from Wake Forest University with a Certificate in Spanish Interpreting. I spent a semester studying business and art history classes in Salamanca, Spain. I am currently teaching Marketing at the high school level and working towards a lateral entry teaching certification.
Experience
I have been teaching high school marketing and career management since August 2016. Prior to that, I was a substitute teacher during school years 2014-2015 and 2015-2016. Worked at a tutoring company/learning center for a year (October 2014 - October 2015). Tutored a 6 year-old in Spanish (Summer/Fall 2014) (2011-2014) Personal tutor to college students, high school students, and medical professionals. (2009) Mentor in College Prep Mentoring Program for High School Students. (2007, 2008) Mentor in College Mentoring Program for Freshmen - to help them adjust. (2009) Babysat infant from 3 to 6 months old. (2005, 2006) Babysat 2 children under the age of 5. Helped friends and classmates with Spanish homework. Previously assisted 3rd and 5th graders with math homework. Previously tutored algebra and basic math.

Sunday in the afternoon, Weekdays after 5PM, Saturday at any time

Hobbies
I have a passion for languages and other cultures. I'm fluent in Spanish and have studied Portuguese and Chinese. I studied in Salamanca, Spain for nearly 4 months in 2008. As a high school teacher, I am learning a lot about learning styles and varying teaching styles to ensure that each child is learning and progressing. I really enjoy helping others, and seeing someone grasp a concept that he or she has been struggling with is extremely rewarding.
