Over twenty years tutoring and university teaching; currently tutor Spanish to elementary students and high school students; teach language arts (spelling, reading, writing), to special-needs junior high-school student. I enjoy the tutoring experience because I can identify and focus on the student's strengths and challenges. From there I can teach to the student's particular learning styles and maximize learning outcomes.

Hobbies: I have a lot of interests: guitar, singing, hiking, camping, traveling, swimming, reading, writing, painting, sketching, and doing volunteer work with local Hispanic communities. Food and nutrition: Currently, I work as a freelance copywriter and one of my niches is food and nutrition. This specialty works well with my background and interests because I've traveled and studied in several Spanish-speaking countries. As a result, I love eating, cooking, and experimenting with different kinds of foods throughout the Spanish-speaking world. Furthermore, I've worked as a professional translator (using written communication) and bilingual editor at a local Hispanic food magazine. I've also worked in public health as a foreign language interpreter (using verbal communication). So I enjoy learning and writing about all aspects of food and nutrition in both Spanish and English.
